あがらとでは、LOVETABLEでお出ししているお野菜やお米、薔薇DewRose、ハーブやフルーツを育て、売上の一部を村に寄付をしています。
想いに共感してくださる方々、"あがらと"と同じ"植物性自然栽培"で育ててくださる生産者さんが少しずつ増え、小さな集落からお隣の集落、そして、そのまたお隣の集落でも、孫や子どもたちのためにと、植物性自然栽培"が広がりつつあります♡
自然豊かだからこそ育てることができる"大いなる大地の恵み"を都会へ。"食べる"と言ういのちの営みの循環で、都会と地方が支え合い、地方が自律する仕組みを創っています。（次世代のモデルコミュニティ創出）
Agarato Village
Living with the Earth. Smiling with everyone.
At Agarato, we grow the vegetables, rice, roses (DewRose), herbs, and fruits used at LOVETABLE. A portion of the proceeds is donated to support the village.
We’ve been joined by kindred spirits—people who resonate with our vision and producers who cultivate their land using the same plant-based natural farming methods. Slowly but surely, this movement is spreading from our small village to neighboring ones, carried by the love for children and grandchildren.
We deliver the abundant blessings of our rich natural land to urban areas, creating a cycle of life through food. This system of mutual support between city and countryside aims to help rural communities become self-sufficient—a next-generation model of community.
人と自然に垣根のない和歌山の山奥から
和歌山県の南のほう、山あいにある古座川町は、東京23区の半分ほどの広さで、人口はわずか2400人程度(2023年現在)。面積の約96%が山林で、数々の清流に恵まれた自然と共生する動物たちのなか、"人"が住まわせていただいているような集落で、「あがらと」は活動しています。
From the mountains of Wakayama, where humans and nature are one
Agarato is located in Kozagawa Town, nestled in the southern mountains of Wakayama Prefecture. It’s a community where humans are almost like guests among wildlife and pristine nature. The area spans about half the size of Tokyo’s 23 wards, yet is home to only about 2,400 people (as of 2023), and about 96% of the land is forest.
あがらとの歩み
2016年に土井が自ら土地の開墾を始めたことから始まります。
わたしたち人類が「地球の一員として」存続できる社会の仕組みを創るため、地球の未来を創るために、山の環境を再現し、豊かな土壌を育み、美しい自然を作ることからスタートし植物性自然栽培の薔薇を育てるようになったのです。
500年先にも地球に人が存在できるように古くて新しい文化と社会の仕組みを創るために。
”Agarato” Journey
Agarato began in 2016, when Shingo Doi started cultivating the land by hand.
To create a society in which humanity can continue to live as a member of Earth, we began by recreating mountain environments, nurturing fertile soil, and cultivating beauty—starting with our plant-based natural-grown roses.
We are working to create a sustainable culture and social structure that can endure for the next 500 years, so that human life can continue on Earth far into the future.
高齢化と少子化による人口減少
日本の仕組みとして、地方が成り立っている大きな理由の一つに「都会からの地方交付税交付金の恩恵」があります。逆に、都会に供給される大半のものは、地方から都会に送られているものです。
いま、日本の未来を考えると、現代の人口比率では急激な人口減少が訪れることが予想されます。そして現在、日本の農家の平均年齢は67.7歳であり、あと10年もすると70歳を超えることが想定されています。
そうなった時に、地方では都会に食すら提供できません。そこで、私たちにはなにができるのか？と考え、何度も話し合いを重ね、その結果、 「地方が自然豊かにすればするほど発展する」「地方が地方として自律して自分たちの足で立てるようになる」ことこそが、私たちが描く未来への第一歩だと考えるようになりました。
The Challenges of Population Decline and Aging Communities
Japan’s regional communities rely heavily on grants and subsidies from urban centers. Ironically, most of the resources consumed in cities are actually supplied by these very rural areas.
With Japan’s aging population (average farmer age: 67.7 years), we are facing a future where within just a decade, many farmers will be over 70. If this trend continues, rural areas may no longer be able to supply food to cities.
This reality prompted us to ask: What can we do now? After countless discussions, we came to believe this:
“The more abundant the countryside becomes, the more it will thrive.”
“If rural communities can stand on their own, we can build the future we envision.”
自然の理を元に考えた永続する仕組み
具体的な方法は、農業を家内稼業でなく、組織として成り立たせること。 そして、その活動から地域と一緒に足並みを揃えて自律に向かう「井田法」の現代版を実践することです。
ですが、これを成し得て、後の世により良い地球と優しい文化を送るためには、「都会の方々の選択」が重要です。だからこそ、私たちは農業から生み出される農産物や加工品を通して、「大自然の調和」と「都会と地方の調和が必要」だと伝え、表現しながら活動させていただいています。
このような想いから、私たちは、朝露をまとった薔薇を夜明け前に収穫し、自社で愛情を込めて加工し、販売させていただいているのです。
A Sustainable System Based on Natural Principles
Our concrete approach is to move agriculture from family-run operations to community-supported organizations. Inspired by the ancient Japanese “Inaho system,” we are working toward a modern version where villages progress together in step toward self-reliance.
But for this vision to succeed and for future generations to inherit a kinder Earth and culture, the choices made by people in urban areas are essential.
This is why, through our agricultural products and handmade goods, we continue to express and share the message of harmony with nature and harmony between city and countryside.
We harvest our roses before dawn while they’re still covered in morning dew, carefully process them in-house with love, and share them with the world.
心が震えるほどの感動をそのままに
ご縁をいただき、全国各地の百貨店様の催事に出店する機会を得てから、多くの方にDew Roseの商品を知っていただくことができました。
ご購入くださった皆さまから伺うお話は、私たちの想像を超え、心が震えるものばかりで、まるで「奇跡を起こす薔薇」だということを実感しております。また、農園のある村や隣村の財政黒字化の実現も、皆さまのご支援があってこそ達成できたことです。
これからも、人・自然・動物・植物すべてが共生し、やわらぎの世界が広がる未来を、皆さまと共に築いていきたいと考えています。

Thanks to your support, even the financial situation of the villages where our farms are located has improved—something we could never have achieved alone.
We hope to continue building a future where people, nature, animals, and plants coexist in gentle harmony.
あがら"と"に込めた想い
すべてのいのちと共に生き、すべてのいのちと未来を拓くために生まれた「あがらと」。「あが」は、和歌山弁で「わたし」。あがらと＝わたしたちと一緒に、未来を拓きませんか？と言うメッセージを込めています。
自分だけではできなくても、みんなが同じ方向を向けば、社会も世界もあっという間に変わるのだと思っています。社会は、誰かに変えてもらうものではなく、わたしたちひとりひとりの意識と行動、愛と調和の心を持って行動すれば、あっという間に変えることができる・・・と。
わたしたちは今、人と自然と神々が溶け合い生きてきた古えの営みに、現代のテクノロジーを生かした、古くて新しい社会構造（文化）つくり。行き過ぎたものは手放し、失いつつあるものを取り戻してゆく最中です。『正しい』『正しくない』なんてちっぽけな指標じゃなくて、『自然であること』、究極の理想を追い求めて。

The Meaning Behind “Agarato”
“Agarato” means “with us” in the Wakayama dialect—“Aga” meaning “I” or “we.”
It’s an invitation: “Shall we walk into the future together?”（ With us ! ）
Even if we can’t do it alone, if we all face the same direction, we can transform society—and the world—together.
Society isn’t something we wait for someone else to change. When each of us acts with love and harmony in mind, change can happen in an instant.
We’re now in the process of reviving an ancient, sacred way of life—where people, nature, and the divine were one—while integrating it with modern technology.
Letting go of excess. Reclaiming what was nearly lost.
Not based on what’s “right” or “wrong,” but on what is natural—pursuing the highest ideals with love and humor.
